Eric Jin is one of the 12 British Council’s Shine Award 2010 finalists for his work with EWB Southampton and STAR Southampton.  The Shine Awards are an annual initiative of the British Council and praise international students for outstanding achievement outside their studies in the UK.

EWB Birmingham

EWB-Birmingham started in 2005/06 and won 'Best New Student Group' at their Students' Union end of year awards. Membership numbers increase year on year as their committee grows stronger.

EWB Durham

EWB-Durham was founded in 2006 and has been growing in reputation and size over the past few years. Of particular success has been its "Water for the World" Outreach programme, that has led to continuing invitations to run water and sanitation workshops with both year 7 and year 11 students in local schools.  Additionally, a highly successful International Development Course was held in June.  This one day course aimed to educate people interested in partaking in international development projects and interventions.
