Proposing EWB-UK Research Briefs

EWB-UK research projects can be undertaken in a variety of ways; the most common is as a final year degree project, but the research proposals can also be undertaken as a group project in another year or as a PhD topic for example. The EWB-UK Research Programme is designed to be flexible depending on how the university, the student, the academic and the partner organisation wishes to undertake the research project.

The Engineering, Social Justice, and Peace (ESJP) network are delighted to announce their Sixth Annual International Conference, to be co-hosted with the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA) in London from August 4th to 6th 2010 in collaboration with the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre and Engineers Against Poverty.

Our first Desktop Development Research briefs are from Practical Action and will become available over a staggered period of time as this part of the programme is being set up.

Desktop Development Research

Desktop Development Research Projects are designed to allow individuals or groups of individuals to undertake research remotely, from their own homes. They do not necessarily require access to laboratories, specialised materials or equipment as the research focuses on collating information from online and library resources into a usable format or using computer based programmes to create models and simulations.
