Celebrating 15 years
Engineers Without Borders UK is proud to be celebrating 15 years of achievements.
We’ve achieved a lot. A lot, but not enough. We’ve inspired a large number of people to reconsider what it means to be an engineer. That’s something we’re really proud of.
And there have been real improvements but there hasn’t yet been the wholesale shift that’s required to address the challenges we’re facing. At our heart, we’re a network of people. Our role is galvanising that community to lead the change to serve all people and our planet.
Engineers Without Borders UK has kept me inspired, kept me motivated and kept me enthusiastic. And there are thousands of others who have also been inspired in some way, shape or form.
This is just the beginning.
We have no planet B and time is running out.
The engineering community has an enormous role to play in addressing this challenge. It currently isn’t moving fast enough and in many cases, it isn’t ready to tackle this challenge at all.
We’re building a movement to tackle this.
