Our fourth session covered the regenerative principle which we define as, actively restoring and regenerating ecological systems, rather than just reducing impact.
To unpack this principle, we were joined by chair Joe Mulligan, Engineers Without Borders UK Change Maker and incoming Executive Director of KDI. He was joined by three panellists: Olivia Sweeney, an environmentalist and one of Bristol’s Black and Green Ambassadors, Diego Almendrades, is an engineer and social entrepreneur and Dan Smith, is a sustainability professional with over a decade of international experience.
The fascinating discussion covered the challenges of scaling regeneration and reflections from the panellists on approaches taken across a variety of contexts, such as the dry forests in Peru and in a commercial setting. Watch the full session below.
